Levels display in Linked Revit files

I'm working on a project that has multiple linked Revit buildings and I've set up multiple elevations to view the different buildings. There are a lot of Finish Floor levels throughout the project and I would like each elevation to only show the Levels for the emphasized Revit link. I know how to set up the Linked/Host paramters for each elevation view, but it's putting the Level Head on the wrong side of the elevation and they're not lining up with one another. They also aren't displaying how they are in the Linked file.

I opened the Linked Revit file (building) and set up the elevation to display exactly how I'd like it, Level Heads on the "left" of my elevation. I then saved and closed that file, opened and reloaded in the collaborative file, and have messed with display settings, but I can only get the Level Heads to show up, they aren't on the left and they aren't aligned. Is there a way to save the level display settings as far as to which side of the elevation, and aligned with one another, so that they'll display that way in the main file?

It sounds like a job for Copy Monitor.

Have any good links to tutorials on Copy/Monitor? Or should I just Google and use trial/error?

F1.

Start from Help is a good start.  I bet a Google search can turn in a bunch of tutorials too.
