Keynote tags on a linked model

Hi,

We're working with a distinct model for printing. So, we're linking all the models in that model to do the layout.

We're also using the elements keynot to tag all our elements in the details (in the printing model). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...why?

I thought it was because of the "bring to front" or the 3D, but it seems to be more complicated than that...

Also, some of these notes are disapearing when we re-open the model...It is understanding when we change some of the elements in the details, but they are also disapearing when we do nothing in them...

My message can be difficult to understand but I don't know how to explain it very clearly...please ask questions if it isn't.

Thank you

Tagging items in Linked models can be unstable, especially when a linked file is reloaded, unloaded, removed/replaced, etc.

It may be a better / safer method to tag in the live model, and create sheets and print from the live model(s) instead of thru a "master" file

containing many linked files.

Yes, we know that. Unfortunately, the printing model is already too advanced to go back...

I was looking for an explanation on why we can't tag some element with the keynotes...

Revit doesn't seem to "pick" them when we're moving the mouse over.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't...I guess we're doing something wrong in some details that we're not doing in others. But what?

I'm assuming you are using the Tab key to select items to tag?

Yes, I am.

I even tried to hide some elements around or bring them to front or send them to back.

Again, all of the above worked for some item, but not all. It's kinda weird...

Can you give a full screenshot and point out which items do not tag?

We're using linked views from another model and we're tagging in the printing model (to have the schedules).

Everything in red is 3D.

Everything else are detail components.

I can tag what is pointing by an arrow. I can't tag the others (or even pick them with tab...).

There are only 2-3 details that are doing that...the others are fine.
