Keynote Legend - Appearance

Hi, I am quite new to using the keynote function in Revit and trying to create my own keynote system.

I like the way how the keynotes are presented in the attached image and I am failed to do something similar.

Just wondering is there a way to allow "Key Value" & "Keynote Text" in two different rows? 

1000 CONCRETE

100mm insituconcrete

instead of:

1000 CONCRETE     100mm insitu concrete

Also it will be great if anyone could confirm if the attached is created from "Keynote Legend".

Keynote Legend neither allows for additional parameters not does it allow allow for inserting data rows...therefore, I doubt that was created using a legend.

I believe it was created using a Note Block. Which would basically allow you to add additional fields using shared/project parameters and sort + add header/footer using such parameters.

Hi RDAOU, thanks for your reply. In this case can a Note Block pick up the parameters/information from the keynote system?

Could you give me some directions if possible? I have seems some comparisons between "Keynote" and "Annotation symbol + Note Block" and most people recommend using Keynote.

Have you looked into Keynote Legends?

The both can serve the same purpose.

The downside of Keynote legends is that it is rigid limited to keys and notes

The Note block is more flexible and allows more options in terms of schedule formatting BUT it needs to be set up properly. Nothing comes OOTB.


As for your question, Generic Annotation to Key Notes are not linked but can be using dynamo. There are also addins which does a similar thing

Hi, I did tried the Keynote Legend.
The issue I am having is the keynote legend only gives me 2 columns to play with and it seems that I can't create something similar to the attached image with the Keynote system.
