Keep wall intact without changing thikness

Hello,

Sitting and thinking about how I should be able to keep all the included materials in a wall without it increasing the wall's total thickness.
I want to be able to calculate the cost of the wall and then I need all the construction parts in progress.
From what I can see and understand, there is only one function that allows 0 as thickness and that is the membrane layer

Sitting on Revit 2023, does anyone have a solution?

There is a certain way to create the layers of a wall. For example, even though insulation and metal studs share the same space, we can create only one layer of, for example, 3 5/8" metal stud, instead of adding another layer of the same thickness for the insulation. However, if you need to calculate quantities of material, you can use a schedule with some additional parameters and some math to calculate the quantity of insulation in a wall. The same about membranes. The schedule will give you the area of the wall. You can do the rest. Begin with a take-off schedule of materials.

Also thought of something similar, but if I want to manage physical assets and thermals located on each object.
Then I believe that there will be problems when we have to calculate the climate impact of a building part, this means that not all parts can be calculated and thus the total impact will be incorrect.

Am I thinking wrong?
