keep background color session to session

I know how to change the background color, I do it every time I open Revit.  Is there a way to KEEP the background color so I don't have to do that every time?  I like it black!

Interesting. I can change to black and it keeps setting for new projects. Perhaps defining it in a new rte would would work for you.

Please see HERE for information on how to change the background color of the Revit canvas. 

Background Color, is and 8 digit color code in your Revit.ini which can be changed to match your color preference.

The background color is a local setting and should not change for the user. If yours changes between sessions, then there is probably something that has been coded into the opening sequence that is changing your options settings.

Thank you!  I changed the color in the master template and that seems to do it.

What background are we talking about? The screen color?

It doesn't make sense that changing the template file would have any affect. I can change my background to pink and have it stay that way from project to project and session to session. When someone else opens anything, the setting that they have chosen "sticks" in the same way even if I last saved with pink.

Am I missing something here?
