It wont let me delete my annotation types in my project

I cant delete the annotation types in the project... can you please help me with this

I know how to to try and delete them but it will not let me it is greyed out

If you can't purge them then they are still being used.

Yes but I still should be able to delete them no? it comesup with a warning

How are you trying to delete them? I didn't think you could do that. AFAIK, they need to be purged. If they can't be purged they are in use.

What is this warning?
