Issues with materials in realistic and rendering

Hi all! I'm completing my undergrad senior thesis, from home, so needless to say it's a little stressful.
I'm working in Revit 2019--I drew the plans myself in Revit 2018. Whenever I go to realistic 3D views or attempt to render, I cannot see materials that I have added to surfaces & families. It's all just gray...
Any troubleshooting tips? I'm happy to share screenshots if needed

Screenshots of a couple of your materials along with your model in Realistic view would be helpful.

Have you changed the Assets of your materials? Realistic mode uses Assets rather than the Graphics tab of each material. Use the Appearance tab in each material to modify the look of the Assets.

The first image shows a realistic view WITH a family I built open; the second is with no families open.

Ok, thank you for the images. Next, check your Phase settings. Sometimes Phasing Graphic Overrides are set to show the Phase - Exist or Phase - Demo over the materials actually applied to the objects. I would make the Phase Filter something like Show Complete if it isn't set to that already. Then I would check your Phase Filters and Graphic Overrides settings to ensure they are set to what you want.

Setting View Phase Filter to "Show Complete" didn't work?
