Issue with Revit 2017 accessing solders on Revit Server (via Vault ribbon)

Hi,  I've got an issue when I load revit2017, then log into vault (via the ribbon - logging into vault as administrator) and click on Options and then the Mapping tab, I click the + button (plus button) and choose Revit Server Folder and then the .... button it displays no folders, projects or anything.  I have revit server correctly installed, I can access Revit Server Administrator app and I can see Test Project 1 that I have created.  I have the correct .ini file on my server and client.  I can ping the servers host name and IP address from my client PC so I know all this is working correctly.  I can use the File System Folder button with no problem.  It's just my Revit Server Folder location is always blank and clicking the ... button doesn't display anything just  a white dialog box.  I am using Win7 64bit, octocore Xeon with loads of RAM, a dedicated Win Server 2012 64bit with Vault 2017 and Revit Server 2016 and all of my hardware and software is up to date.  Any ideas?  Thanks Aaron

@Anonymous Hello

What you described and what you did sounds all right...so before trying to guess; two things you didn't mention...just to avoid any doubt

  1. Assuming that you are browsing for the folder; When you click the ellipsis (...) to select the folders to map, there should be a check box option "USE REVIT SERVER" which should be checked to select a Revit Server folder...is it checked?
  2. Instead going via the ellipsis to browse your way to the folder; did u try to enter the path for the folder?
  3. the folder location.. is it at the root level?
  4. Which build of Revit are u using?
  5. can u post a screenshot or a screencast specifically with Vault Mapping options open? (Just to see what u r seeing ...)

Hello, I have now fixed the issue.  I think the issue may have been that I was using Revit2017 (with Vault2017) on my client PC and Revit Server 2016 on my server. I have now installed Revit Server 2017 on my server and it worked first time.  Thanks
