Hy to everybody,
it has been a few days since I am trying to export some families (Special equipment) as blocks with attributes. To do this I am using the tools “Enhanced DWG Exporter for Revit”. Unfortunately, I have not been successful until now and I am steel having some trouble.
I share what I did below and I would like to have your opinion. Maybe you can tell me if I am doing something wrong even if I personally think the program does not work properly.
For each test I did I worked on a custom export configuration called “WYF_Punto d’inserimento_01”. I also created an AutoCAD Template called “WYF_TMP_Punto d'inserimento.dwt” inside which I created a block with the 16 attributes that I would like to export.
Test 1: I tried to export the family Box_Muro_1500x335x335mm. I did not set a .dwt template and I did not set additional attributes from parameters. The result was quite fine, except for the fact that if a family has a nested family inside, the program would export only the nested one and not the principal family.
Maybe the program have some limits with the nested family?
Test2: I tried to export the same family but this time I set the template using the file “WYF_TMP_Punto d'inserimento.dwt”. In the Block-Substitution/Attributes panel, I asked the program to substitute the family with the block of the template and to compile attributes from the parameter of the family as shown in the picture.

The result is that the program seems to start working but does not seem to complete the operation (second image).
However, the export file was created anyway but the blocks were not replaced.

Test3: In the last test I tried to extract a block with attributes from an annotation family. To do that I used the dwt template and tried to replace the labels with the template block. Depending on this, I created a label containing all the information that I need to export in block’s attributes.
This is the screenshot of the settings:

And this was the result in cad:

As you can see in the picture the program correctly put the block in place of the label, nevertheless it did not compile the attributes correctly. You see the missing attributes in red and a duplicate one in yellow.
Moreover, if I assign labels to all families, the confusion becomes greater.
Anyway, the main problem in this workflow is that I do not have a specific correlation between the “graphic” block, which represent the object, and the “information” block, which contain the information of the object.
Have you ever encountered this kind of problems?
Anyway, my need is to create a block with attributes that looks like the Revit family and has attributes filled with the family parameters. Is it possible with this program? Can anyone tell me where I am wrong?
Thank you in advance to all.
