ISSUE WITH A ROOF

I’m having an issue with modeling a roof by footprint. After creating the roof by footprint, I added split lines to create different slopes at different heights. However, when I assign different elevations to the split lines, the roof extrudes in a “pyramidal” way instead of forming clean, linear and uniform slopes. Could someone help me understand why this is happening?Immagine 2025-04-08 013847.jpgImmagine 2025-04-08 013940.jpg

It’s not so clear what you are tying to model. But if the slopes are in 2 directions, wouldn’t a roof:by extrusion be simpler?

I need to model this roof and I have to do it using the perimeter roof tool and split lines. As you can see in the first picture I attached, the roof extrudes in a pyramidal way, not in a linear and uniform way. I don't understand why

You have one or more roof layers set to "variable."

However, split lines aren't the best way to highlight these roofs. Try using slope arrows or "define slope" on its edges.

Model it using Roof by Extrusion.

I’m not getting it, why do you HAVE to? Is it a challenge of some sort to model it using by Footprint even when it is an easy roof by extrusion?

moreover, it’s hard to tell which split lines you are referring to. Maybe you can post the file?

I'll echo Roof by Extrusion and then Vertical Opening(s) used to cut away the portion of roof that is not required where the building steps in plan.
