Issue Loading Column Family

I created some custom columns as a separate Family but when I go to load them into my project they have changed shape with the top of the column now becoming a part of the lower half. I made the columns just with the Extrusion and Void Form tools and have looked the extrusions as well but they continue to load into the project distored no matter what I do. Would really appreciate any help.

Turns out it wasn't locked to the correct level.
