Is there a way to do this - use a spreadsheet to populate labels that will automatically update as you edit spreadsheet

New to Revit. Working on a project that involves a big excel spreadsheet of miscellaneous objects. All these objects need to be labeled in views with their name and a couple bits of info. They don't exist anywhere as Revit architectural objects - the labels are blocks of text pointing to invisible objects in the drawings.

I figured out how to import the spreadsheet into Revit and use it to create a schedule so that I can display the list of objects on sheets.  Is there a way to create labels that link to the rows on that on that schedule and update automatically, instead of text that has to be manually changed?

You can link data from Excel table to a generic annotation schedule (noteblock) using an add-in such as DiRootOne.

- Create a generic annotation family with labels from shared text parameters that you want to fill in with data from Excel

- Load it in the project and place in view

- Create a noteblock schedule, add the parameters to the schedule's fields

- Use the Add-in to sync data from the Excel columns with the schedule's columns and the symbols placed in views will update
