Is it possible to use a formula and drive Family Type parameters?

Is this possible? What I'm trying to do is drive visibility based on options of a family. For simplicity's sake, I have a nested circle and hex family. If Circle is checked then the family is visible, but if hex is also checked then the family changes to hex shape. The hex option only drives the change to hex shape, where the circle option drives whether the shape is visible or not.

in addition to this.

have "circle" as you have, with no formula

have "hex" set to: not(circle)

This will mean that when circle is selected & visible, hex will not be selected and when circle is unselected, hex will automatically be selected & visible.

This will prevent the possibility of both circle and hex being ticked at the same time.
