Is it possible to model this wall assembly in revit?

Hello everyone,

How can I model this wall assembly in revit?

I can only model one or the other, talking about the layer where I have studs and insulation at the same layer.

is Revit reliable for thermal calculations?

IF not, could you provide an alternative?

Thanks!

It's not entirely possible, but there's two options to approach to that: 1, model as a basic wall without wood studs (Revit doesn't allows vertical sweep/reveals); 2, model a curtain wall (pretty fine to handle studs as mullions but with some issues to place panels over them). If your goal is an energy analisys, probably potion 1 is well, if you're looking for constructibility op2 will do the job. A mix of both? Why not? Model stud and insulation as curtain wall, and int/ext layers as simple walls. Issues? Workflows, changes will be annoying, wall joints to be needed a lot...

And yes, energy analisys in Revit works great. The most important thing, data is available for later check/reviewing.

First of all, thank you for replying.

Second, if you don't mind, I will need you to go a little slower on me.
If could provide just a few more details of the workflow. I understood the terms you used but some of them I haven't dealt too much yet like curtain walls.

I would like to learn the 3rd way which is a mix of the two for a more accurate thermal analysis.

It will be difficult to explain all of these here, recommend to look for tutorials for Revit help:
