Is it possible to export areas from Revit to IFC?

Good Morning:

I am trying to export areas from Revit to IFC, I know that it is possible to export Rooms, but I have not seen how to export Areas to IFC.

You can export Areas but they will become Rooms in the IFC. As a workaround, you can export twice:
- Set the area views to a different phase, choose that phase to export to IFC 1
- Export the rest of the model to IFC 2
