Is it possible to create a schedule for revisions?

Hi fellas!

I wonder if it's somehow possible to get a schedule for revisions in a project?
Thought it was obvious that this should be possible but after a quick look I couldn't find a way to create one.

Would like to have.
Revision - comment - signature - date
for all our revisions in the project.

Thanks in advance

If you want to to use Revit's Revision feature- ie tying Rev clouds back to an entry in a Schedule- you are stuck with it's standard "Revit Schedule" type- see image for Fields.

You could create your own Annotation Family for Revisions and Schedule them this way- you can obviously create whatever Parameters you need then- but it wouldn't be part of the built-in Revision System

Kind regards,
Ian

Revision schedules are a part of a titleblock family.  You add a revision schedule to the titleblock family to capture the revisions on your project.  It will get the things you asked about.  Here are a couple of top level help topics around revisions.  Be sure to look at the table of contents under these sections for a complete understand of how revisions work in Revit.

What if I would like to keep track of all the revisions in a list?
Not as part of each sheet but all the changes together. Is that somehow possible?
(if not, it should be added...right?)

The revision schedule can be set per sheet or per project, your preference. But the "list" cant' exist on its own outside of a titleblock.

@loboarch @bimscape @Marcus.Isacsson - thank you! This is perfect timing - we are also looking at Revisions at this point in time. I shall follow this thread with the greatest of interest!

Yes it is possible.

Just start with a Sheet List schedule, include the Revision related fields you want, sort by Revision Number, don't itemize every instance, etc.

My bad!
I was a bit unclear, it's the actual revision CLOUDS I would like to add to a schedule. Especially the comments. That way it's easier to write a memo containing all the changes we've made.

Is this somehow possible? To itemize the clouds and their comments in a schedule?

Ah. No. Not currently possible.

More thorough scheduling capabilities for annotations has been suggested before, but no luck yet.

That's what I though, altough, I recently stumbled upon a plugin that seems to do the job in this case.

Scheduling Revision Cloud Comments would be completely in line with the typical task if providing a Narrative when issuing a Project Revision.

Cheers

"Revision" isn't an option within "Sheet List" parameters list.  The only one near that is "Current Revision," which only schedules the NEWEST revision on the sheet and none of the other revisions.

Let me know if i am missing something.

You are not missing anything.

However if you have pyRevit, you can generate a comprehensive Revision report like below:

Hi,

Is it possible for you to share some more insights on the report that you have in the screenshot?

Install pyRevit and run Generate Revision Report tool.
