Interior Elevation

I need helping bounding my elevations into a room/level. I can drop an elevation into a room and it works as intended, but when I add elevations using the check boxes they span into adjacent rooms and full height of the building. Is there any way to adjust or prevent this?

If you place an interior elevation it should do that automatically.  If you don't have one in the model you are working in, start a new project based off of the commercial default template, place an interior elevation then copy it to the clipboard, switch back to your project plan view and paste.

Yes, that works as intended. Now my question is when I select on that elevation bubble and check a box to add an elevation, it does not bound to the room/level correctly.

I can't replicate the problem (see my screencast).  Can you post a screenshot of the floor plan are where you drop the elevation bubble?

I running Revit 2016. I may have found the issue. The placement may have been off, I believed the room separation line would bound the elevation but it does not. When I move it between walls it stays inside the room. Although it is spanning the entire 3 floors but that's easily remedied.

CrAzY iDeA.. what if we (Autodesk) could make interior elevations bound to a room/ space tag? Could be the move? I would save hours of time setting up interior elevation!
