installation of products on multiple computers

I have three seats - 2 subscriptions (only one serial number for both seats of subscription - that seems weird) and one maintenance seat.  I have had this arrangement for several years now.  I am rolling out a more mobile style architectural practice - therefore I will be installing the new 2020 releases on two platforms each - on a desktop and on a mobile tablet or laptop.  I know that is acceptable.  However, I need to be sure - I think 0- that certain serial numbers end up on certain computers so that concurrent use of the same serial number does not happen.  The current roll out of serial numbers on my 2018 and 2019 versions of the software is not the way I want it set up going forward.  Since I will be updating my products to 2020 in the next week or so, am I able to select different serial numbers than the current ones for the various computers, and does that muck things up for projects that are older and will retain the older file format (revit 2018 for example - I keep that so I don't need to upgrade all of the files prepared under that product)

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous

The 2 Subscriptions you have, are they Single-user or Multi-user? also, the maintenance 1, is that network or Standalone?

With Subscription model, Single-user licenses are allocated to a user, not a computer.  You Log in to your Manage Portal, which you can access from this page.

In the manage portal go to User Management, Add the user name and email then edit access and allocate the license to the user.

That user can then use Autodesk Products on any computer, simply by logging in to the application.  No Serial number needed

Thanks for the input!  I really have no idea number of users etc.  I bought two seats because I have two employees.  One serial number gives access to the two seats.  I have never entered users etc to my knowledge, although that would apparently be easy to do.  I come from a world where you buy a serial number and it can be installed on two machines.  I will try to upgrade my thinking on that, and appreciate the steering you have given me.  I will assign the two subscription serial numbers to my two employees and keep the maintenance subscription - which is an older acquisition and something I keep because I OWN the set that is attached to it from back in the day when one bought software, not leasing it.  I paid thousands for it back then.  I'm keeping it so that when I retire from this profession, I will still have access to the 30 + years of plans and designs that I have created.  Thanks so much for your help!
