Anyone know a way to insert a view from a Revit 2014 file into a Revit 2015 file without having to sit through a twenty minute temporary upgrade of the 2014 file? Anyone know a clever way to get views from a 2014 file into a 2015 file?

I think the fastest is to open the 2014 revit file on revit 2014. Create a new file then use "Purge unused" (this will shorten your time upgrading) and transfer what you need to transfer. Save the file.

Open it on Revit 2015. Hopefully it will not take 20 mins to upgrade.

Thank you jdiala. I think I found another solution. Select R/Save As/Library/View. Then select just one of the Drafting Views from the 2014 file that I need and save to my current project folder. Then use Insert from File to bring it into my 2015 file.
