Inserting a point cloud on top of a Revit model

My company sometimes sends point cloud data for large buildings overseas for processing and what comes back is a finished Revit model. I was wondering how to take our local point cloud that we had sent and reinsert this into the project so that it sits on the model exactly.

Best why to handle this would be to insert the PC into another, separate Revit file and then Link that file into your Revit Project and then set up coordinates between the two Projects. But your vendor needs to be on-board with this workflow.   It would be near impossible to do it after the fact.
