Industrial Clean Room Strip Curtain

Does anyone have or can easily make a Family for an industrial Clean Room Strip Curtain? Similar to the picture shown. Width of strips between 3-10" and adjustable height. See attached picture. Thanks for any help!

That can be done fairly easily by: curtain wall, or line based generic model family.  You should start making it yourself and asking questions during the process rather than asking others making it for you.

Look, I spend my time designing and engineering facility projects and have learned that most equipment needed for our Revit models is usually available. I don't have the time or the current experience to create families. I was simply asking if anyone had what I needed or could easily help create it. You telling me to go create it myself isn't helping me out in any way, but thanks for trying.

I suggest you just do that then.

You could solve this problem in five minutes with the right knowledge. But you would rather complain that helpful volunteers aren't doing your job for you for free. It's insulting. I don't imagine you could have designed very much in your career with Revit without ever having learned the curtain wall functionality. "Advanced Designs" my ass.

This is not a family, it is just creating a new curtain wall type, it's very easy and do not require any time at all. find the attached file.

I believe you have done many basic wall types before during your work, it is not that difficult, only it is a curtain wall family type.

These people were trying to help you to not need help afterwards, instead of giving you the type. in other words, 

Don't give me the fish but teach me to fish.

Chris has always been a helpful volunteer and also a straight shooter.  We have no idea and we generally don't care who you are or what you do.  What we do care is your attitude when asking for help on this forum.  Go back and read what you wrote and tell me you did not sounds like a self entitled individual.  Just because you are busy doing other things does not mean your time is any more valuable than our time.  What would you do if someone go to you company and go " hey I am a very busy businessman doing important business deals and I know cold room designs are pretty typical so why don't you give me one available so I don't have to waste my precious time talking to you about the design".  It is a f ucking turn off.

Anyways, I am attaching the file that I did this morning using the curtain wall approach.  This is my last attempt to help you unless you willing to spend some time to look at it and ask questions about things you don't understand.  I will not build anything for you just because it is easy and you don't have time.

Let me explain this one more time - READ MY INITIAL REQUEST - I didn't start this with an attitude. The first response was loaded with attitude. I pay $$$ for my AutoCAD subscription, you people are here to help. If you don't like a request, maybe it would be best to not respond. After all this dialog full of  attitude, someone finally helped out. Don't you think this would have been the more positive response in the beginning? Do I have to explain every detail of what I can and can not do? Just because it's easy for you guys doesn't mean its easy for us, that is why we post questions. Please don't patronize me or any other Autodesk subscriber in the future. Don't forget "The Customer is Always Right".....

I came into this thread as I had just done the HVAC for a similar clean room and was interested in learning how people are doing it for future reference. After all, this is a help forum not a place where you come and ask for content because you can't be bothered learning to make it yourself.

Maybe you just don't know what this forum is about. It is a help forum. We are all customers, with a few exceptions. Some come here for help, some come here to help. Some of us will even share content but with something as easy as this. It is much more valuable to teach someone how to do it than to just give them what they think they need. If you learned something here, give out proper kudos and solutions and remove this post as being the solution, because it isn't and won't help anyone looking for a Clean Room Wall.

Okay so I take it that you think we are all working for Autodesk.  Not sure what gives you that impression but no we are not.  We are Revit users like you.  We are architects, engineers, designers, students who also pay for the subscription one way or another, and have our paying jobs or school work to do.

Yes I call myself a helpful volunteer. Still, I volunteer what I choose to volunteer. That's the nature of volunteering. I choose to help people learn how to do things in Revit, not to just build families for them. Sometimes that ends up being the solution and I build a family for somebody because it turned out to be the best way to help them, but not because they just started a thread and demanded a family. You have correctly determined that one of us is an ****, but I think you've had some trouble narrowing it down.

Despite this little conflict, I will still happily offer help to you in the future, if you ever want to learn something about Revit. You know, like when I helped you understand why your light fixtures were placing upside down. Or like when I tried to offer advice related to facilities management (even though maybe the advice wasn't useful, I've tried). Admit it...in this thread you came across like an **** first.

Hi,

I am wanting to make a pet door (doggy door). I need it to have the rubber flap and the typical aluminum trim. Would you approach it theoretically the same way you approached this door? or how would you go about it? I want to learn how to make it, so I'm not expecting you to post a family for me to download but a little guidance in the right direction would be helpful, if possible. Thank you!
