Hey genius',
I have created some mesh models from point cloud data and want to bring them into Revit but it seems the only way i can do that is to export them as CAD DWG's and import those to Revit. The only way i can successfully get them into revit is if i explode them which turns the smooth mesh faceted which visually isn't so great.
The only other way i can think to achive what i want is to model these elements directly in Revit but am not too sure how i would go about doing that.
See related images attached.
Any help would be amazing and thanks in advance,
Danny
This is not something you would normally use/model in Revit. Revit is not really meant for organic shaped models and lacks the tools for that. These high vertex meshes will kill Revit performance.
Why do you want to bring this in Revit? In these cases I would look for alternative ways. Maybe you can use images to show design intent? If you need it for rendering than I would do the major part in Revit, export it to 3dsmax and then add the organic shapes before rendering.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
If Marcello can create a Revit elephant, you can create your complex geometry in Revit.
