IFC Import to Revit

Hello everyone,

I have imported this IFC and it looks a bit rough and also most models are seen as import symbols by Revit, is this normal?

Is there a way to make it look better?

Do you have suggestions of workflows to work with IFC in a more efficient manner?

Thank you,

Try using IFC4 rather than IFC2X3 and make sure that you have the latest IFC-Importer-Exporter-Addin for your Revit installed. Depending on how you imported, the results vary between the file>open ifc and the insert>link ifc then bind approach. The newer IFC4 format should deal with the triangulation. If you ctrl-tab and select single items from the ifc file and copy-paste them into the host file, will offer you all parameters from the ifc file to use in filters or lists. Given that your screen shot is static, I cannot say whether there is any imprecision noticeable on the model edges. If there are, the IFC model may be far off the origin. Good luck.
