Hello!
I want to export my model (created with Revit 2018) as IFC for the purpose of Energy Analysis with a Building Energy Analysis tool that does not accept gbXML. However, I have a doubt with the IFC export transfer.
When we want to export as gbXML (Revit 2018), an energy model should be created first. Knowing the IFC data schema theoretically, I assume that regardless of whether the Revit model has a generated energy model, the data is going to be exported correctly. But due to my lack of strong practice in this area, I have a doubt which is: if I generate an energy model, the information is going to be exported differently to IFC, or maybe other things (that are related to Energy Analysis) are also going to be exported?
Also, I need opinions on which option, in the tray below, serves my purpose better?
I watched a video in AutoDesk University that advised not to use IFC4 for the time being.
