So I'm Sorry, but couldnt find a solution.

I have a room with walls, floor and ceiling. All normal.

I have a room tag and when I select it in the Identity data menu I cant select finishes for anything, like they are not existing.

Would you post an image or two showing the problem you are facing?

As a first step, you will need to select the room element itself (with the mouse over the room tag, type your tab key until a large "X" icon and a blue fill appear in the room), not the room tag element, to see the parameters available for the room.
Please respond if that solves the issue or not.

When working with Rooms in Revit , you have to manage the Room and the Room Tag:

  • Rooms parameters can be controlled from Plan Views and Schedules via Identity Data from Properties palette. You can set parameter's value either in Properties ( if you select a Room) or In Schedule - they will appear in all the Views that show Rooms (in a defined Phase)

How Finish Parameters ( they are all Text Parameters  and they are apart from material parameters from Revit Categories) are shown in Schedule , Plan View and Properties Palette before adding information

and how it begins to look after adding by typing information either through Schedule or through Properties Palette:

  • Room Tag has to be configured appropriately so to show ( in Plan or Section Views ,where they are visible) the finishes. For this , you have to open Room Tag Family , and create by Duplicate a new type. Create a New Label ( Create>Text>Label) in which to add these parameters:

You can set , also , a Visibility parameter to control (in Project) what amount of information is shown in the Tag:

Once happy with the Tag Family , load it into the Project and it will appear in Plans and Section Views .
