How to view a site plan from an imported ifc model

I imported an IFC model into REVIT 2021

How can I view a Site in my views?

I need to change the project point, survey point, etc. and it is best done in site view

Regards,

Aidan

Create a Site plan view.

View > Plan Views > Floor Plan > pick a Level > untick Do not duplicate > Create a view > change Top and bottom view range to Unlimited, Cut Plane to way up high > turn on Site / Project Base Point and Survey point.

So, you linked in an IFC Site Plan into your Project and you want to see the IFC in your Project's Site Plan?  If so, move the IFC to where it belongs in relationship to your Project's elements.

...I typically start this process in Elevation View - unless the import is located in "deep space".  If it is, you'll need to start in 3D.

So I needed to create it

Ah! You mean Open IFC - not Import IFC.   I've never understood why Autodesk uses the term "Import" when referencing an IFC brought into Revit via File=>Open=>Open IFC.  Maybe it's an archaic term that used to be accurate (e.g. File=>Open=>Import IFC).  I don't recall.

Whatever. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😉
