How can I top constrain the wall to the base of a the beam, without using a top offset? Is there a way where it is less manual?

If you modify the profile of the wall and align and lock the top sketch line to the underside of the beam it will then stretch when the beam the raised/lowered.

You could also use a global parameter to locate the underside of the beam and the top offset for the wall.

Use Align in Elevation

@barthbradley If you use that method it breaks the constraint when you change the height of the beam. That's why I suggested modifying the wall profile.

Not the way I would go. Ever Schedule a shape-edited wall?

No I haven't. A custom parameter might be the way to go then...

A custom parameter to do what exactly?

To constrain the top offset for the wall and the bottom of the beam.

My only idea here is to add additional (auxiliary) level at the beam bottom and assign Wall Top Constraint to it.

If the beam(s) change height, move the level, walls will follow.

That's all good in case you have one type of beams, not many, with different heights (bottom elevations).

I don't even need to ask how because I already know the answer.  The other idea of yours is actually a good one.
