how to take skirting material take-off

Dear All,
I'd like to know how am I supposed to get the skirting material take off, Pls bear in mind that edges common with curtain wall are not supposed to be calculated.

I'll appreciate youtr guidance.

To be able to schedule things and excluding others you have to make sure that they can be distinguished. Maybe there is already something that distinguishes the different pieces of skirting. Otherwise you would have to add a parameter, fill it with data, and use that in your schedule to group or filter out the different types of skirting.

@L.Maas I ve scheduled skirting created/modeled from generic model type of family but I find it a pain going room by room adding those components.

I'm just wondering if it is doable for skirtings created by adding a Hosted profile Sweep in the wall type? (Edit Type>Structure Edit>Sweep) I can't seem to find a way to get those sweeps to show up on material takeoff and quantity schedules

That really is very difficult task to complete, room by room, if there is more easier way to do it I really will appreciate it.

In general I use the wall sweep tool. Few clicks to place them on the wall, goes around corners, breaks with door and schedules

I basically do the skirting the same as @L.Maas ... But as I am still on 2014 I just thought/wondering if any new feature has been added which allows quantifing Wall Sweeps embeded in the Wall Type Structure

Adding a screencast just if anyone elese would be interested. Lengthy 10 mins starting falmost from skratch so I'm going to tag it
