How to subdivide a toposolid which has already been cut using massing?

Hi guys,

The reason i want to do it is because i want to add a solid/different material and create a path on my model. The green area is my toposolid, brown is what i got left after cutting (that's where i want to place some kind of path) it with a mass and gray (apart from the road) are walls/models in place to be added material/grass easier on Twinmotion.

Sub-divide or split don't work on top of a cut toposolid.

How do you guys approach this situation?

Thanks!

I have no issues subdividing or splitting this toposolid

Please try to subdivide exactly on the top where it's been cut with massing.

Try to split right on top where it's been cut. Try to subdivide as well.

I've done both as I said and shown above.

Sorry, i think i wasn't clear enough. Go to site plan and subdivide/split it following the cutline (i'm not in the office now so I can't attach a screenshot), for example, if the cut had a circular shape (making the surface flat on that specific circular area) either splitting or subdividing it will cause an error.

What i'm trying to do is to make a building pad following that irregular surface (there's a minor slope on it [pink highlight on img]) that has been cut. I just want to create this solid (like a floor) so I can change material/lift/lower it on twinmotion later on.

Thanks!

I think I understand now.  Cut BOTH split sections with the Mass.

Sorry, you still didn't get it, but thanks for trying.

Error with split:

Error with subdivision:

And this is what happens if you try to make a circular split on top of the flat surface (cut by the mass):

Thanks!

Give me a step-by-step to reproduce your issue.

Select the toposolid > subdivide > pick circle tool > draw a circle on the flat part of the toposolid (which was cut by the mass) as per img, apply it and the get the error.

You did a split on the 1st img (not subdivide), and as you can see, it's broken.

2o. img seems like it's another mass/solid in place cut.

Please read this:

Yes, that's exactly what I need. Can you please tell me how did you do it?
Thanks.

Wall by [Mass] Face. Pick the bottom face of the existing Mass. Bada bing!

...bottom faces, plural.

True, thanks, i remember i've seen that before. Just not sure if we can apply this to only a part of the face of the mass as per img. Because it's very likely that you wouldn't always want this "floor" or path on the entirety of that surface. Divide surface might work for that too.

I'm not following. Why can't you cut the wall by face to the shape you want?
