How to place light components onto cabinets

Hello, I am trying to place a lighting fixture onto the side of an upper cabinet, but the lighting fixture will only allow me to place it onto a wall.  Where can I find the settings to adjust the allowable hosts please?  Thank you for your help!

in your fixture family editor, make sure this is checked.

Do you know how to convert a Wall-Hosted Family to a non-hosted Family?
