HOW TO PAINT MODEL IN PLACE COMPONENT ?

I MADE A OUTER DECORATION AS SHOWN IN PICTURE I ATTACHED ..BUT I CANT PAINT IT 

I TRIED MANY TIMES TO PAINT THROUGH EDIT BUT PAINT DISAPPEARED AFTER PRESS FINISH SO 

HOW CAN I PAINT THIS COMPONENT ?

IS THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO MAKE THIS DECORATION ?

Either change the material of the model or paint faces using the paint tool.  You need to edit the model and paint the faces.

You cannot apply materials to family instances in a project. You must apply the materials to faces in the Family Editor.
