How to obtain Serial number from Autodesk - Education Edition.

Ok, so I need to obtain a serial number and product key from Autodesk as an educational licence. (I am a teacher at a Uni) but the informtion is poor at best. Every single piece of material I read from the Autodesk website assumes:

1. I already have a serial number
2. I downloaded the product from the web and was given a serial number
3. I know what the hell I am doing. 

What it doesn't assume and therefore provides NO information for

1. is that I purchased my software through a legitimate educational software distributor in Australia
2. I have installed the software from the USB stick sent to me (as a trial version) since no serial number is provided on the box. 
3. That the software does not come with a serial number and I must obtain it from Autodesk
4. How to do number 3!? 

Its quite ridiculous actually, every link says "where do i find my serial number" nothing says how do i GET my serial number. 

I even have an educational community account in the hope there would be a big button saying OBTAIN SERIAL NUMBER. but no, that would be way too easy. 

Assistance would be much appreciated.

You need to contct this source.  They sold you the license.  They need to provide you the serial number.  It should have been on a sticker on the box that the USB key came in.

Hi Damien,

Apologies for the delay in you getting your Serial Number.

If you purchased an Educational License, at the onset you cannot see nor find your Serial Number. On the box of the USB or the media you were provided you will see a white leaflet.  The white leaflet provides information on how you can obtain your Serial Number.

The instruction on the leaflet will ask you to visit www.identit-e.com and provide some details regarding your purchase. Afterwhich, the team will then send you via email your License details.

Let me know if you still didtn't get your Serial Number at least 24 hours from the time you visited the site mentioned above.

(Davissc, I hope your paying attention and learning at the same time!)

In this case the leaf let was not in the box explaining the code i saw, so i mistook it for packaging 'stuff', but after contacting the reseller he explained what you just did so clearly. I expect the serial in the next 24 hrs.

The biggest question is, why is none of this on the Autodesk websites? No need to reply to that one Joane, Im sure you will take it to the right people.
