how to make ramp thickness matching floor thickness?

Hi all,

When i work with a ramp (or even with a floor with a slope), I cannot find a 'good' way to make the 2 adjacents part (floor/ramp) having exactly the same length. My problem is I end up with an extra small sharp corner of ramp not correctly aligned with the floor.

Do you have something to suggest me to get everything aligned?

My only idea would be to extract the slope angle, and then multiply ramp thickness by the cosinus of the angle

If you slope is anywhere near a normal ramp slope then you would have to zoom in extremely close to see that corner. If you print the drawing then it is really a non issue on the print out.

To fix that in the model, you would need to create an in place model "wedge" piece under the floor and shape it to align with the bottom of the ramp. Then join it with the floor.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to create a patch and join it.

(This is a revit model for a FEA analysis, and the mesh generation process fails if tiny sharp edges exist in the model)

Model In-Place Component was the solution
