How to insert an image to be defined/visualized as terrain, both in 2D and 3D?

Hello, I would like to know how I insert an image to be defined/visualized as terrain, both in 2D and 3D. I've already inserted the image into the 2D view of the terrain, but then it doesn't show up in 3D. I don't need to have topography. I just need to have an image that is defined/visualized as terrain, both in 2D and 3D. Can anyone help me?

Thank you.

There is a workaround, create a "floor" that is actually your image. This is the way to get it to show in Revit.

Create a floor the size of your image in real life and apply the image as the material. See below. You will need to adjust the offset of the image to suit as I have done below. Also, in any view you want this image visible, you will have to set the Model Display style to Realistic via the Graphics Display Options.

After this, pin your floor with the image so that it won't move.

Create a flat topo or floor the size of the image and apply the image as a decal yo it.

Hello,

Thank you very much, but I'm not able to put the whole image on the floor. Only a part of the image appears in a part of the floor. Please, what can I do?

Note: I've already created a floor with the same dimensions as the image.

Hello,

Thank you very much, but when I apply some transparency to the image, the image practically becomes a single color, that is, the image becomes imperceptible.

Is there any way to apply transparency to the image, without it losing its visibility?

If you want transparency then decal won't work. You need the create a material using the image as the texture instead.

Thank you! I did everything you advised me, and I was able to choose my image as the flooring material but, the only option similar to transparency is the "Fade" option (in the "Material browser - Generic", between "Information" and "Reflectivity"). And when I change the values in this option, transparency is little or nothing applied. In AutoCad, when I use the fade option, the image is actually more transparent.

Make sure your image is sized correctly as I have shown in my previous comment.

Make sure to adjust the offset of the image as I have shown in my previous comment.

Make sure that the image repeat is set to none on both horizontal and vertical.

This will make the image visible.

Can you not just adjust the floor/topo with the image within each view using view specific element graphics and set the transparency there?

Thank You! Perhaps because the image is in a realistic view, the transparency is always very dark, that is, it is as if the transparency was towards black and not white.
