Can someone give me simple step by step instructions to get Revit 2018 from a crashed HD to a new computer

No, that is not possible. If your hard drive is truly crashed then it will be almost impossible to get anything of it with out specialized help.

You could have someone with plenty of computer knowledge have a look at your computer to see what exactly happened

However you should be able to download and install Revit on a new computer. Details about the product code and license number you should be able to get from your Autodesk account.

So if the HD is still good and I just want to get a new computer and use the software on the new one, can I just transfer the license to the new computer from the old computer?
