I suggest you take a look at ProSheets - Diroots Plugin and download it directly from their official website.
They have an option to select during DWG export that you can Bind images as OLE objects.
Now, unfortunately, this feature is in the premium package, but while it was in beta phase, I tested it and it works very well. I made sheets with more than 20 images and it really worked.

Compatible with Autodesk Revit versions 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
I only recommend that during the Bind Image process, you do not do anything else on your PC. Because in each sheet that the plugin is making, it opens Autocad very quickly and can take some of the information that you are writing in another program during the process and put it in the dwg file. 😅
So, take this time to get a coffee. ☕
Another tip, don't have other Autocad files open without saving, because the plugin can close the program without the save message.
All this happens only when the OLE option is selected. Otherwise, there is no problem in doing other things while the plugin works.
