How to draw a Path of Travel Line from a 2nd floor space to a door on 1st Floor

Path of Travel Line for a Life Safety Plan question:

How to draw a Path of Travel Line (using the "Analyze" tool) from a point in a 2nd floor and extending all the way directly to an exterior exit door on the 1st floor, in such a way that the entire "Length" of the Path of Travel is shown on the Path of Travel Schedule?  The exterior door below is not seen, since it is on the 1st floor.  

Or there is a way to draw it using two separate lines, one on the 2nd Floor Plan leading to the top or to the bottom of the stair (for example), and then continuing it separately on the 1st Floor Plan to the exterior door?

Or there is another way to do this?

All that is needed is the entire length of the path to show on the Path of Travel Schedule.

Please advise.

Not too familiar with updates to the path of travel tool, but this was not originally supported and users would come up with workarounds for multi-floor portrayal:

Here's one such topic. Based on a quick search of the forums, it doesn't seem like there's been significant changes since.
