How to delete a lighting family in Revit

After I created a lighting family in revit I cannot render the image.  Attached is a copy of the message that I received.  How can  I  delete the lighting family that I created in Revit?

Instead of deleting it, why not fix it?  But, if you must, just find the Family in the Project Browser, right-click and delete it.  

You know, you could attach the family here and we can tell you what's going on with it.

Its not allowing me to right click on it from the properties tab.  I would prefer to delete it from the project

Right click on it in the Browser and delete, or left click on it in the Browser to select it and delete.

...if all else fails, use "Purge Unused" (Manage Tab).  

Still, sounds like you are cutting off the nose to spite the face.   Post the family here and we'll tell you why it ain't rendering properly. It may not even have anything to do with the family.
