How to create Different Annotations for Same Fixture

Currently I have created two views: 1 for lighting and 1 for controls.

Between the two views the only thing that needs to be updated are the annotations for the lighting fixtures. As of now they are marked "Fxx" under the lighting plan, but will need to be marked "Fxx, yyy" under the control lighting plan.

Is there a way to create different annotations for the same fixture?

Hey,

I think your best bet is to have a tag in one view that shows only one parameter. In the other view, have a tag that shows two parameters.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

That makes sense thanks! Would you happen to be able to screencast how to do it?

So depending what your parameters are, you would.

1. Have your original tag with (I'm assuming) the Type Mark

Tag Type Mark.PNG

2. SaveAs the original tag to a new name, and add the 2nd parameter to the original label(whichever parameter that is for you).

Type Mark +.PNG

Load in and tag your little heart away!

Hope this helps,

Cheers.

instead of having 2 different tag families, that should be able to be built into one tag family with 2 Types. the labels would a have visibility parameter assigned to each label so they can both be on or only one can be on as needed.

this is an example of a room tag where the Volume has a visibility parameter assigned.

then depending on they Type selected you can turn on or off different options

You are absolutely right.

The fact they were asking the question, I started small.

Either one will work, I personally prefer the viability/type method.

Cheers,
