How to create a Floating Slab

I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to create a floating slab pad for a garage I'm designing. I would like to be able to show a section through it with the concrete. I have a hunch all I can do is make the slab, then add a very short wall and taper it to get the form I desire (I'm avoiding this answer because I'd like to have it be one thing), or I'll have to make a custom family for it.

 

Which would be best, do you think? Is there another way to do this that I don't know about?

What do you mean? Sounds like a pretty typical condition.  Floor sketch boundary includes a Slope Arrow.
