How to change the associated level of a curtain wall without affecting custom mullion set out?

Hi,

I'm purging an existing architectural model of a 18 story building for to use as a site model for a fit out to several levels. I want to delete the unnessicary levels in the existing architectural model, however there is one curtain wall that has been customized for a specific mullion set out. I don't want to edit this existing model, I just want to limit it to 4 levels and remove unnessicary info.

I can adjust the height of the curtain wall to the 4 levels with the edit profile tool and mullion set out remains unchanged. I cannot find a way to change the associated level without causing the mullions to be deleted. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Try to use Split Element.

Split element when you need. And delete part that you don`t need.
Or if it not helped and you use "Edit profile" - put Level that you don`t need on the separate workset (for example, Invisible).

And turn off "Visible in all views".

Thanks for the reply. There's a bit of time pressure so I'd just gone down route of putting the level on a closed workset. I will be keen to give the split element method a try if I get sometime, see if I can delete it all together. Thanks!

Cut and paste aligned to selected level and choose a different level.
