How do you modify a Split Face

Hello,

I've been using the Split face tool (looking like a little tv screen) to add some differents materials to some part of the ceiling. Now i want to edit that shape because the project changed but i can't select that "Face Split" anymore. How can i acheive that ? Or how do i delete what i've created and start over ? i can't seem to do that either.

Thank you.

Use a crossing selection window, then use the filter to pick only the split face to edit it.

...it has always been a pain in the buttocks.  Yes; Crossing Window (and using Filter if need be) is the way to go.

Thank you, yep, FILTER was the part I was missing. 🙂

This does not work: tabbing only gives me the whole face, and Filter does not come up.  Have tried every 'solution' I could find online...nothing works.

once you have created your SPLIT FACE, if you want to go back and edit it, you select the whole area, then the FILTER icon becomes avail and then you select that.

the dialog window opens and you will see a Check Box list of object types you have collected in your selection group.

Un-check everything else NOT split face.

That will leave only the SPLIT FACE selected and then you can EDIT BOUNDARY.

see screen cast for details

This no longer works in Revit 2021. Has anyone figured out what has changed?

I'm actually having a problem selecting wall split faces using the Crossing-Window/Filter workflow above in Revit 2020.2....am I missing something?

To add to this, what I'm seeing is that split faces only appear in filter when selected in a 3D view. I have not been able to succeed in a plan view.
