Hey Guys,

how do you change the line thickness of materials?

I want to be able to model elements and adjust the thickness in the property types. I can change the surface and cut patterns by going into the material editor, but i cant change the line thickness.

I am modeling steel structures. what i want to be able to do is have main steel with a 4 thickness, secondary with a 3 thickness and additional with a 1 thickness.

i want to be able to cut my sections and have all my line thickness done. at the moment i have to go through each one and change each elements using override graphics in view.

Thanks.

If you using families, you can set your family object into their own subcategories. Set the lineweight in the family editor and it should add those lineweight into your project automatically.

If you want to change the wall, floor, ceiling and roof assembly lineweight; you would go to visibility and graphics and change the cut line styles

If nothing works, linework tool is your best option.

thanks for your reply.

I was able to change it by adjusting in the Familie editor by opening Visibility Graphics and then Object Styles.
