How do I import an autocad file to create Toposolids topography?

I keep getting the following message:

The work plane of this view cannot be used for this operation.
This operation should be performed in another view or the work plane of this view should be set to a Level by using the Work Plane command.

I have no clue what to do with this.  I keep looking on youtube to find a better tutorial but still have no clue.

Just a quick follow-up: based on your error message and your mention of importing, it’s likely the issue is related to how the CAD file is inserted — and the units or work plane may not be matching your project setup in Revit.

• Make sure your CAD file uses real elevation values (Z-coordinates) for the contour lines.

• Then go to Massing & Site - Toposolid - Create from Import and select the correct layer.
