How can i use the timber Generator for the IFC modeling?

Hi, I need some help. in our business, we try to use the REVIT to extract the building material so we try to sue the Timber framing generator to extract the timber quantification from the our client modeling (ArchiCAD modeling). But when I try to generate the timber framing with IFC modeling, it does not work, nothing happen for the modeling. Anyone can help me, how to use generate the timber framing with IFC file? Please help me. And extra question, how can i modify the IFC element? As some of item i can modify with family modify function but Some of elements cannot as our client made them by using the Extrude and Solid creating function. Anyone have idea how to do that? Please help me. i am very stress for that at this moment. Best Regard KIM

Hopefully someone will have a better answer for you than this one.

I am not familiar with the Timber framing methodology. But I assume that it works on Revit system families, such as Revit walls, Revit roofs and Revit floors. I doubt it is intended to work on IFC exctrusions.
