How can I inport CAD files to Revit

Hi,

I can't inport CAD files ex .step, .dwg, .dxf etc. properly. Even if I can load it, distortions / losses occur in 3D drawings. What is the best way to transfer "machine drawings" to Revit?

Thanks in advance.

They importing them directly into a Generic Family or a Generic Mass rather than a Revit project.

Why do you want the CAD file in Revit?

Are they for reference or are they for detail?

if you have them in DWG format, use the EXPORTTOAUTOCAD tool to dumb them down and drop any AEC objects. Then link the resulting file into Revit.

as @alan.johnson7YLND asked, for what purpose are you "Importing" them?
