I am trying to do a 2x4 second look grid.  I want the regular 2x4 but with a grey line through the center so it looks like a 2x2 but it's obviously not.

How can I get a regular 24"x48" black line crosshatch with a grey line every other 24".

All lines in a pattern will have the same color.  You need two patterns, one is black 2x4, another is gray line.  Place them together and line them up to get the look you are after.

Well, that's easier than what I did last time, but as far as I can tell, you can't have two patterns as a material.  Which would be the best scenario.

Well you can sort of have it.  If it is for a ceiling then you can Create Parts from the ceiling, change the material for Parts, and set the View to Show Both.

Thank you very much!  How else do you use that?

How else?  To show walls with both concrete cut pattern and solid poche, for example.

Or if you need to know about Parts then read about it here.

Okay, so that worked EXCEPT, it doesn't print.

Give the ceiling 1% transparency.
