How can I create a hatch pattern built-in to this ceiling family?

I am creating the ceiling for a client that has a distinct pattern and appearance to it. It has very speckled perforations and with three scores long-wise in each panel.

In the photo is sort of what I want it to look like, but right now it's just annotation hatch and linework. I would like this to become a pattern that's integrated into the ceiling family. So that I don't have to tediously repeat the linework across the building. 

How would you go about on creating a new hatch with this intricate of pattern?

You could try and use an existing hatch and use this in the Family Type > Material > Background

You could also Edit an Existing Hatch to meet your needs and save it 

Or try and find a Hatch online, Import it and then use this as Background
