How can I change walkthrough accelerator uniform speed from 1.0 to .5?

Hi everyone!

I had a question regarding changing the uniform speed in my walkthrough from 1. One of my students wants each of their accelerator points to be set at .5 instead of the standard 1. I know that you can change the frames and frames per second to adjust speed, as well as setting each individual keyframe, but I was just curious if there is any way to change that default value?

Click on 3D views/Walkthrough, draw the path, finish it.

Then go to Properties palette, click on Walkthrough frames button (last on the list), uncheck Uniform speed and change Accelerator values:
