Over the past couple days in a particular Revit project, when I hover over any part of an object it highlights the object. It seems to me that prior to this I only had to hover over the objects edge to be able to select it. The latter is much more convienent, allowing me to draw selection boxes wothout dragging an object along with me. Does anyone have any idea how to change hover options to only highlight an oject when on the objects edges? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Maybe activated select by face (bottom right of your screen)?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Yes! That was it. I knew it had to something simple that I was missing. Thank you for your help!
Relevent note: Right next to the Select Elements by Face toggle button is the Drag Elements on Selection toggle button. That would solve the problem you described while as well, while still allowing you to select things without having to go to the edges.
If you're like me, that isn't the desirable configuration, but I though I would put it out there.
I'm having this problem can anyone help me with what that tool is called. I don't see it in the 2020 version.
